Need help pickin the right one

Hello.

So many good monitors but what to choose ?

My specs at this moment are :
benq z2720z 144hz 1ms 1080p
Z370 gaming 5 msi motherboard
Ddr4 16gb 3200 mhz vengeance
I5 8600k
Gtx 1080 msi

I saw this one in the store
lg34uc89g-b it looked awesome. Especially The size.
Then i went googling. Watch some reviews. And came to the conclusion that the asus rog swift pg279q still kicks ass in compersation to all others.
I could buy this one. Then my only upgrade would be ips.
Also saw The Acer x34. There is to much choice.
What would you guys prefer?
Im looking for a i quess 27inch or bigger ips 144hz fast reponse and gsync monitor.

PG279Q is a great choice. I have a 144hz IPS FreeSync with a GTX video card and I don't even notice the screen tearing because of how fast the refresh is (the main game I play is easily maxed at 144hz). But, the IPS & refresh rate are well worth the money if gaming is your priority.

I played with the 100hz, 120hz and 144hz settings on my monitor to see if I could go ultrawide, I came to the conclusion I wouldn't go below 120hz. Something tells me if I had a 165hz monitor and I got used to that, I wouldn't go below 144hz. It's a dangerous game once you try it 🙂

I went from 144hz to 100hz ultrawide and wouldn't go back to anything 16:9. Its a personal thing. Asus has a 200hz ultrawide coming. probably going to cost $1,500 or more though.

that's way over my budget, and i don't know if i could handle (my pc that is) 200hz refresh rate.
Currently leanin towards the
ASUS ROG Swift Curved PG348Q
its 100hz gsync, is this gonna be a downgrade from my benq z2720 144hz ??

Might I recommend then the Alienware Ultrawide that was released end of last year? It's at least 120hz... You can find it for $999 fairly easily, so it's in the same ballpark as the PG348Q:

http://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/alie...8dw/apd/210-amsv/monitors-monitor-accessories

It is officially listed as 100hz with 120hz "overclock", but it pretty much means it is a 120hz monitor.

Thnks guys. Much aprreciated.
Now my only question is if i will be able to get 120 fps with my setup on this ultrawide 1440p monitor. With my gtx1080 and i5 6800k?

Leaning towards the Alienware AW3418DW 1440p 120hz gsync. Currently running a 144hz benq 2720z. Will i hit 120fps with my gtx1080 on the Alienware AW3418DW?

What games are you playing? The 1080 should run must games at 120fps, or close to it. You will probably not be able to run max settings on most games though.

Having a 3440x1440 monitor, I will tell you they are awesome. I'd take the 24hz hit to get the increased res, and widescreen aspect.

My problem is i live in the netherlands. No where to be found this monitor. I could get it in germany but if something is wrong its a pain in the **s to sent it back. Have to order it through a friend who lives there.

Got the Alienware AW3418DW and love it!! Play PubG and BF1 also.

Needs some calibration and great info here - http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/dell_alienware_aw3418dw.htm

The box is huge though:
