need help overclocking

i have a tbird 800 and abit kt7 and want to overclock it. i've been told that to unlock the multiplier, it takes only a pencil to connect the golden bridges on the processor, but on Anand's overclocking guide it's a lot more complicated, so what's the deal. also, what fan/heatsink is the best for me. the one i'm using now is generic, but has quite a large heatsink and runs at 4800rmp, but the temp goes up to 51 at full load and 880(8x110). thanks
 

It really is pretty simple.(almost) It didn't work the first time I tried it, but after redoing
it(simply erasing and remarking it) everything woked perfectly. Here's a link with close-ups
