Hi Guys!

First off all I really like this forum. It actually got me started even thinking about overclocking, but now to my problem:

Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate

Motherboard: Asus Striker II Formula (2 PCI, 2 PCI-E x1, 3 PCI-E x16, 4 DDR2 DIMM, Audio, Dual Gigabit LAN, IEEE-1394)

CPU Type: QuadCore Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450, 2833 MHz (8 x 354)

RAM: 4096 MB (DDR2-800 DDR2 SDRAM)
DIMM1: Corsair Dominator CM2X2048-8500C5D 2 GB DDR2-800 DDR2 SDRAM (5-5-5-18 @ 400 MHz) (4-4-4-13 @ 270 MHz)
DIMM2: Corsair Dominator CM2X2048-8500C5D 2 GB DDR2-800 DDR2 SDRAM (5-5-5-18 @ 400 MHz) (4-4-4-13 @ 270 MHz)

BIOS Typ Award (05/14/08)

NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GX2 (512 MB)

Here are the settings i am currently using and which are stable:

fsb: 1415
ram fsb: 849

those settings are linked and der divider is auto.

vcore; 1,14375V
ram core: 1.9V
NB core: 1,36V

now the problem is if i increase the the fsb just to 1420 the computer doesn't boot at all and i only hear one long beep. Now i switch the power off and turn the pc on again. now it boots, i get a system boot fail message.

it is the first time i tried overclocking so pls be patient with me!

cheers

edit:

i just noticed that my vcore in everest and cpu-z is only at 1.100 altough its at 1.14 in the bios. when increasing which one should i look at?
