need help overclocking my mouse in Windows 2000

I am running windows 2000 single boot, and i cant find a mouse overclocking program to work on this. i got one working on my windows ME computer (www.tweakfiles.com), but this is my gaming machine, and i reeeeallly want to get this one to at least 100hz from the base 40hz...any help would be great.

As long as you're using the default mouse drivers (which work great), it's really simple. Open up the hardware settings of the mouse (either using the mouse control panel or the hardware manager), select advanced options and there you go.

is your mouse a logitech mouse (look at the bottom) if it is, you can download their latest software and you can set your ps/2 rate to up to 200 /sec.

yes, its a logitech cordless mouse. where do i get the drivers? i cant find em!

also, you talk about hardware settings...where are these? i dunno much about 2k yet.

setting your ps/s report rate up to 200cps slows down your mouse speed, but gives you increased accuracy, i keep mine at 100, i use a logitech trackman marble just move my thumb once and i can jump from corner to corner of a 21" @1600x1200, you can get the logitech software at this link
