Need help overclocking GF3 Gainward Golden Sample

I'm using the expert tool that comes with the card. Problem is that if I go even 1mhz over 480mhz (its rated speed), the screen goes white and I can't do anything. I have to reset the computer and then use "enable VGA" to get back into win2k. Anyone know why this happens? I should be able to go a little higher than 480 right? I'm using a planar LCD 17.4in if that makes any difference. In the AT review, they got their gainward above 500 so I don't think I should have a problem getting above 480. Especially when it runs perfectly stable at that speed.

Thanks

Use PowerStrip or CoolBits to overclock it with more control.. What you're experiencing could simply be the videocard hitting its max. speed, and it crashes (maybe due to excessive heat).
