I have had an X2 4400+ for almost 2 years now, and have only recently tried overclocking it. I got it in a pc in my sophomore year in high school, and was convinced that it was the fastest proc at the time i got it, and from what research i have done on the 4400+ i was right.

But i have not been able to find what kind of overclocks people are getting from it. Right now, mine is at 2.42GHz (220 x 11), and according to speedfan has a voltage of 1.42v (which is weird cus that is not the voltage i set in the bios). My mobo is an ASUS A8N32 SLI DELUXE, another very high end part from a couple years ago, and supposedly a great mobo for overclocking.

The problem is that i can't get past ~2.5ghz for an overclock without getting boot problems and stability issues. I have read of people oc'ing their X2 3800s to 2.7ghz!

please raise any point you might think is an issue. My ram is Corsair XMS DDR 400 (2x1gb) running at 220mhz with the voltage at 2.7v, and 2.5 cas latency. i am cooling my cpu with arctic silver and a zalman cnps 9500, my idle temps are around 38c, load in the 40s (crysis, Supreme Commander).
thank you for your help and making it through this long post!
