Need help optimizing low budget($750) build.

1. I am planning on using the computer for League of Legends and the streaming of it, as well as some photoshop and recording of League.

2. I have a budget of $730-775 for everything but the case and a $100 budget on the case alone.

3. I will be buying the parts from the USA.

4. N/A

5. Brand preferences: Intel other than that I am not picky

6. I have no current parts except for mouse, keyboard, and monitors(2).

7. I do not plan to overclock.

8. I will be using a 32" tv as my main monitor and a 21" auxiliary screen.

9. I hope to build it ASAP.

10. No software is needed.

I used to have a 128 gig drive and it fills up too fast, I would go for this 240 gig drive.

That case is nice, but do you need a full tower case for a budget build? If that is the one you want, it seems solid, but you could definitely get a comparable quality case for a lot cheaper.

Finally, I think you should get a dual channel Ram kit, 2 x 4 gig sticks. You should be able to find a quality set for the same price as the 1 x 8 gig stick you chose.

You'll need an i5 minimum, so i5 4670 + Asrock Fatality H97 (I use one in my gaming box and its a solid mobo) if not overclocking otherwise 4670K + a Z97 board (Z97X-UD3H is a decent choice). Add 8GB RAM minimum if not 16GB and I'd get a 970 in a heartbeat over a 280. Case is up to you. I use a HAF XM:

I was told that the Xenon processor you chose was mean for networking purposes and that it may cause problems when I upgrade in the future. What are your thoughts?

I was going to get it in order to decrease my cpu usage and also be able to stream other consoles as well. Is this a valid reason to get it?

I'm not sure why somebody said that it was for networking purposes, it's not. It's typically used in workstations and servers however it will also suit you needs quite well. It's a quad core processor with hyperthreading and for what you want to do you want to be able to run as many threads as you can. So I would definitely go with this processor, it's not going to limit your upgrade options in the future.

Streaming video nowadays with most well written programs is not too terribly taxing on the CPU. A lot of them actually will make use of the GPU and league really isn't a GPU heavy game. For streaming other consoles yes you'll need a capture card but keep in mind that you're going to be introducing latency into the game unless you capture one output from the console and play games on another output.

No x86 CPU is made for networking purposes (though Intel has made optimizations for networking DMA, recently). The Xeon E3s have slightly different speeds and feature sets, and a few of them fill in gaps in the product line-up.

The E3-1231V3 is a slightly slower i7, with IGP disabled, and ECC capability enabled. It is otherwise the same chip as an i5 or i7 of the same generation. It is priced between an i5 and i7, due mostly to lacking IGP.

The Xeon E5 are then the same chips as the LGA2011-x i7s.

That Xeon is just an i7 on the cheap. It uses the same socket so it doesn't impact upgrading in the least. (Not that there will likely be any chip released on LGA1150 worth upgrading to over that Xeon)
 
Thanks for the explanations guys. I guess my only other question is it worth it waiting until Cyber Monday in order to take advantage of the deals or is the risk of things going out of stock/ not having exactly what I need on sale not worth it?

Both of the current gen consoles have native streaming capabilities, so you don't even need the capture card for those. Definitely need it for older consoles though.

My opinion is that BF/CM aren't really all they're cracked up to be except for certain doorbuster deals.
