whoa, slow down. Now breath, stay calm....after all I am sure your mother bought you a crappy vidcard for a good reason. BTW, I am sorry.

Oh, drivers??? MB and Vidcard, rig specs?? (assuming this is a rig, and not a dell)

oh, and you didn't cut the vidcard to fit into the slot?? cuz that would be funny!!!

define "screws up"

what games are you trying to play?

are you familar with driver cleaner programs? did you use those to remove your old drivers before you installed the new ones?

By the looks of it, my two guesses are it is that the card is having a heat build up issue or.....a driver problem. Either way, try check out the latest Nvidia drivers online. If that doesn't seem to work, open you case chasis and place a fan (while it's on) and see if it doesn't make any difference.

What's with that attitude? You come here asking for help and then respond like that? For shame on you...

But anyways, check your gpu to make sure its not overheating. If it is then its a heatsink related problem. If not, look into your drivers.

sorry, i was just trying to be funny.

did you read the forum of the guy who cut his vid card to fit??
Also, I don't think highly of the GF5 series...

from your screenshot, it looks like overheating. I would just take the card back and get a x300 or 9800pro, 6600, OR.. if you really want a 5 series, get a 5950...

I did kinda laugh at your HD specs ...as if you were OCing it :p

I'd be more pissed than that if I had just bought a new card and someone told me it sucked.

Man I was bursting with joy when I bought my FX 5200 in june of last year, it was upgrading from 8mb integrated.

(In january I bought a whole new PC with a 6600 GT... then went to my current 7800 GTX)
