Need help On NEW MICRO ATX motherboard

Sup, I got a cute little Gateway Micro ATX case, (onboard sound ports, MIDI) with 95 WATT power supply. I dont know what to go with a AMD system or Intel?
I have RAM (DDR2100 and SDRAM PC133)
40 gig Maxtor HDD
Toshiba 12X DVD
D-Link NIC
ATI TV Wonder
Hercules Prophet 4500 Kyro II

or else I thougth i'd place it back into the closet until August when the USB 2.0/ATA133/8X AGP comes out. But in reality im in no hurry, and my college classes are so mundaine Im bored after the homework.

Not sure how well an AMD board, or even a newer Intel is gonna run on that. May be stuck w/ some sort of celery.

You're going to need at least 150 watts for a bare-boned Athlon or P4 system not to mention one that has any peripheral devices. I wouldn't go with anything less than 300watts. Happy building. 😀
 
Oooh! Doesn't look good for a socket A or P4 setup. Here's one suggestion though. If you can snag an MSI-6312 mobo that would make a nice little Celeron/PIII rig. They're all over the auction sites. They're Gateway pulls, and have integrated video, audio and onboard 56K modems. The drawbacks are that in most cases all input is USB and they only have 2 PCI slots. You can occasionally find them with a parallel port too. Also, make sure to flash the BIOS with the latest version otherwise you can only run PIIIs and the older PPGA Celerons. I believe BIOS rev. 11 and higher will allow the use of FC-PGA Celerons. Although you're limited on expansion, just plug in a PCI USB card and you're set. They're rock solid reliable and I think the only way to hurt them is with a sledgehammer! Not sure if that 95W P/S would be enough though, I've only used 200W and higher with them.
 
The Power Supply I have is not an issue for me, I can probably order a 200-250 WATT power supply (unfortunately it has only 3 holes to screw in, unlike bigger ATX power Supplies which use 4 Holes to mount.)

If the holes match-up, three holes should be fine, unless this is going to mounted in the back of a pick-up and driven around.
