Need help on my new pc

Today, I just finished assembling all the parts for my new pc system. Then I began to boot my pc. However, it gives me a black screen, also it doesn't beep at all.
The vedio card has power and the memory is well sitted in the slots.
Can anyone tell me how to slove the problem?
My system: AMD 3200+ , ASUS K8V Deluxe, AIT 9800 pro, Western Digital 160 GB.

does ur fans turn on for a slight second and go off? if it is then its most likely the power supply bring a power supply from another computer and just plug in the basics and see if it would post

my fans are on. The power supply is new, Antec 430w.

did u connect the 4 pin connecter from the psu? located near the cpu/hsf i think..

ooh, the K8V deluxe, I installed this one for a friend, and same problem. RMA, then get a different A64, that's what he did, and his situation is very fortunate. He got the Aopen AK86-L

I did. Every hardware is connected to psu.

Hmmm....that board probably has the "speech post reporter", so just hook up some headphones to your speaker jack and see what the chica says to you when you try to power up. If you're lucky she'll tell you what's wrong.

You may actually have a CPU fan that's reporting its RPM's as 0 to your motherboard. I've had this problem myself, and your board may be refusing to boot because of this (it's a safety feature).
