Need help on monitor: KDS AV-7TF vs Samsung SyncMaster 753df???

I was in the market for a new 17" monitor and rapidly narrowed my choices down to the KDS AV-7TF or the Samsung SyncMaster 753df. I ended up buying the KDS because the picture quality of it looked better at the store. However, now I'm not so sure. What are your opinions? Are there any problems, defects, issues that I should know about? Which would you buy and why?

And flood, no need to answer this post, I already know what you think.

You made the right choice. Dont worry about it. Hey, if your eyes say KDS look better? Why not?

If still unsure, grab the Samsung from the store and set it side by side, and make your choice then.

It dosent come down to kds vs samsung its really shadow mask vs trinitron. Which do you like better? If the kds looks better for what you do get it, if the samsung looks better for what you do get that. Good luck.

Someone said something about the KDS being a lot darker than most monitors. Is this true? Is this a bad thing?

Retail sucks, never buy monitors from them. They're usually priced with MSPR, which is a lot more than online stores.

Here is my opinion on the subject. Every Samsung I have ever seen has had a great picture and a rather innovative design. IMHO Samsung makes the best monitor out there. KDS is a great brand to, nothing wrong with them, probably a little cheaper than the Sam. If you don't like the KDS, take it back.
