hi all, this is an extra credit assignment for my honors precalc class. Any help would be appreciated. Basically, I need to figure out the procedure in constructing a 5x5, 6x6, 7x7, and 8x8 "magical square." The numbers in a magical square in all the diagonals, rows, and columns must equal the same number. For example, a 3x3 magical square would have all their diagonals, rows, and columns add up to 15 and can only use the numbers 1-9 (3*3) and it would look like this.
8 1 6
3 5 7
3 9 2
Anyone ever do this before or know where I can find the answer please inform me.
Also, I need an explanation, not just the answers. Thanks once again.
