This "drama" you are having with this stupid LCD has gone on long enough. Please just stop posting about it.

The cluster of dead pixels about 1" off center? Uhm, yea, just slightly.

I got one bad April 05 A01 and two bad May 05 A01. Third May 05 A01 is good though.

I spoke too soon. Once I turned the lights out I noticed my new one has bleeding too, possibly worse than the one I already have! I guess the month/revision is no indication of whether or not it will have issues.

Read my last post... They appear fine at first, but once they heat up you can see major bleeding.

I'm tired of dealing with this bs so i'll just settle for the third one they sent since it has no dead pixels and the bleeding is not as bad as the other three.

Or this one, which I have: http://www.jr.com/JRProductPage.process?Product=3952280 It's probably not too good for gaming though.

I think i might, with the education discount & the $30 coupon they just sent me, i think the 20" Cinema display is looking real nice right about now...

Only thing that sucks is no s-video in...

I was wrong. I don't have backlight problems with this new monitor, what I was seeing was a dark red tint on the screen that apparently occurs because of the viewing angle and the distance from my eyes to the screen. If I position the monitor correctly I can almost eliminate the "red glow", which is only visible on dark screens anyway.

Through the Apple Education store... also, since the monitor will be going on a minimac, external tv tuner will be my only option...

Ok, time to let this thread die... The 3rd replacement arrived (this time brand new, may 2005 A01)... Backlight bleeding is almost non-existant and only 1 stuck green subpixel that i can only see on a black screen off to the right. I can definately live w/ this one....

Thanks to all those who helped, and screw you to those who didnt :)
