This Xmas, I am upgrading my current system to an A64 platform. I want the Antec Aria as my case, which limits me to a mATX mobo. Because of this, I am limited to the 754-pin version, which is good enough for me at the moment. Ya, 939 would be better, but it's simply not available on a mATX mobo yet. My target CPU is a retail A64 3000+. Can anyone confirm if the HSF that comes with the retail version of that CPU will fit inside the Aria case?
Some of the features that are important to me are:
1) AGP 8X, will be reusing my FX 5700 AGP videocard, so need that slot.
2) At least 2 DDR slots with Dual Channel. I have two 512MB DDR memory sticks to use.
3) Must have SATA as my primary hard drive is SATA.
4) Built-in LAN and Audio would be nice, and don't need great audio either.
5) Would prefer an NForce3 chipset, but don't think any are available with SATA.
6) Overclocking abilities are not important to me as I will already be fighting heat with that case.
While the above specs would be nice, not all will be available as there are limited mATX boards around. Anyone have any experience with any boards that come close to the above specs?
