Need Help on finding a compatible motherboard

I searched a bunch of forums and found nothing so here goes.

I have an HP Media Center PC m1000y. I'm looking to get a new motherboard + graphics card. The problem I have is I don't know if a new motherboard would be compatible with it.

Biggest thing I'm worried about is that everything in the case is layed out pretty awkwardly, the expansion bay takes up a good deal of space but I suppose if that's a problem I could figure out a way to take, I don't use it anyway. And to get to the memory I have to unscrew the hard drive an move it around. Also there are usb and other inputs in the front of the case. I'm unsure if those are permanently attached to the motherboard. I could go ahead and look but the hard drive is in the way so it'd be easier if someone happened to know.

Thanks.

You're probably better off dropping $100 on a good case\PSU combo like this Antec to save yourself the pain of trying to shoehorn in parts that may or may not fit into HP's case. Also, you're probably best off getting a new CPU and RAM while you're upgrading. A Core 2 Duo will run circles around your old P4 and just about anything you can buy now will run a good bit cooler also.
