I will be getting the following:
Case: p180
MB: DFI Lanparty UTnf4 Ultra-D
Processor: Opteron 165
Graphics: eVGA 7800 GT CO
Now, I already have 1gig of DDR500 (Its ADATA Vitesta) that I know can run at 250 FSB @ 2.5-3-3-8. That's what I am running it at now. I also presently have 2 Raptors in Raid-0 (the 36 GB ones). My present processor is a Athlon 64 3200+ and I am using an EPOX EP-9NDA3+.
Basically, I am wondering, if I use my PC mostly for games and video encoding, which will benefit me more:
a) Upgrading the 2 Raptors in Raid-0 to a single 74 GB Raptor and keeping the 1gig Ram I have now?
b) Upgrading my 1g ram to G.Skill Extreme 1GBx2 DDR500 and keeping the 2 36-GB Raptors?
Any thoughts? Please don't turn this into a Raid-0 debate.
