Anyone knows of any site(s) or services I can turn to or look for help with regard to my problems on the Citrix Metaframe XP server?
Here is what happened over the weekend. We have users that use Citrix nFuse to login through the web from outside to run applications like word, power point, outlook (for email), etc. but it stopped working. The users get the following error while trying to log in:
ERROR: An error occurred while attempting to connect to the Citrix Server. Please make sure that the Citrix XML Service is running on the Citrix Server and listening on a valid port. If Citrix XML service is configured to share ports with Internet Information Service, please make sure that the IIS WWW service is running.
I checked the server and the event logs. The following services stopped working on the citrix server:
I tried manually start the following services but it won't start:
Netlogon - Saying the system returned the following unexpected error code: the requested sevice provider could not reloaded or initialized.
Citrix XML - not start the citrix xml service on local computer. The service did not return an error. This could be an internal windows error or an internal service error. If the problem persists, contact your system administrator
Metaframe COM Server- could not start the metaframe com server service on local computer. Error 1053: the service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.
The Citrix server is running on Windows 2000 Server with SP3 on Compaq DL380. I feel the problem may have been the OS issue more than Citrix itself. The other strange thing about this server is that I can ping anywhere outside our LAN but no longer able to browse the Internet and can't ping any url eventhough the DNS is configured correctly.
If any has any idea where I can get help either here or on the web, is much appreciated.
