Help! My best guy friend's bday is this Sunday and I have no idea what to do for him. I've liked him for the past 4 months but he wants to keep our relationship platonic :(. I still wanna do something nice for him though cuz he's my best friend and plus he might change how he feels about me. He's turning 20 and likes tennis, D2, Counter Strike, and bball.

How about inviting him over to watch a movie and showing up at the door in your best victoria secret outfit and say, "Are you ready for your Birthday Present?" :D

A girl asking what to get for a guy...

I don't think this question has ever been asked on ATOT. I'll have to think about this one. I'll let you know if I come up with something good...;)

Nononono... the question is not how much money do you have, but what are you willing to do?

Oh, i forgot he is not into girls.... find a girlfriend and make him jealous;)

Get him a double D and watch his face... No man will just hold it and not do anything...

What's a double D? Are we talking bra cup size? How is she supposed to get him a double D; he's a guy?

Sheesh, even with 10 bucks, you could get a dozen condoms!

note: She did mention platonic :p

probably best to get him some cologne.
Cool water, Polo sports, Aqua Di, or even 'Candies' are the popular ones,
but since you have some romantic interest in him, get him a cologne that you like and that's not too girlish.

some other ideas:
-watch, dvds/video games, kennith cole shirt or shoes, etc. I'd say get him a dreamcast sports pack ($99) with the best tennis game out there 'virtual tennis'.... if it's in your budget. I know if a girl gave me that I'd like her forever :)

i am exercising all my personal restraint not to be crude.

i wouldn't recommend getting him anything to do with tennis, unless you know lots about the sport AND know all his personal preferences as far as raquets, shoes, etc. -- tennis is extremely delicate to most serious players. 'cept that virua-tennis game idea; that was a good'un.

try and think of something that will be uniquely from you, in that noone else would know to give it to him (or be able to). that's definitely a tricky criteria, but since you're trying to sway his feelings your way, i'd say that's pretty important... like organize a suprise party, but be the one that lures him in (so it's clearly your thang).

if all else fails, give one of my cruder suggestions a try -- they are lurking in my mind, struggling to get out, but i'm sure you can guess the most effective ones.

==D - -- ;;) oops that one got away from me!

why doesn't he want to get into anything serious with you? errr....are you decent looking?(not to be mean or anything) Because if he doesn't like you then it'll be hard for him to even think about being with someone he doesn't like. Get him something cheap and go for someone who does like you...just from a guy's POV

Well I know pretty much what every guy would like to get (besides the totally obvious)....box'o'porn.

The best gift my gf ever gave me was a green amber necklace. I know you said he want's to keep the relationship honest but it may be a good gift. Guys (at leat me) don't like shopping, especially for jewelry so it makes it unexpected. Also, it dosen't cost that much. You can get a decent size stone for about 30-40. So you can get him something else as well so it doesn't seem like to "special of a gift".

But every time I rub my necklace I think of my gf.

Ok one..
Top far right, better

I'm pretty broke right now (just started school again :( ) so I'm willing to spend like 30 bucks or so. He says that sometimes he has feelings for me and other time he just sees me as a friend :(. I'm already planning a dinner w/ all of his friends at his favorite steak house.

Double D is half that... you will still have some left over for whip cream, hand cuffs, and rain coats.

Seriously, you have to get something more than just something that he will use... something that has character and possibly even a joke tied to it that relates to him. Anything like a CD, game, typical shirt, socks, tennis balls just won't cut it. If you want this to be your chance then it can't be typical or normal....

first of all....bump for a fellow Cerritos Girl since I live there......

anyhow, just get him a favorite sweater or a shirt he might like ......It's within a pretty good price range.....
