NEED help on annoying default-beep

I'm using windows vista.

For the last few days, windows' default-beep keeps sounding on my every click when using certain programs (xnews & acdsee classic).

I didn't have this problem before. It just happened. I've tried to disable default-beep. But then after that, the machine hardware just beeps itself when I use clicks on the programs.

Anyone knows why?
