Need help on a trick question about WIN XP PRO

well i was in an accident last saturday and completely forgot about my online quiz.. please help with this trick question... thanks

Which of the following is NOT a feature of Windows XP?

a. user-friendlier dialog boxes, many of which automatically complete fields for you as you
are entering data (Auto Complete)

b. Start menu that enables you to display the most frequently accessed applications while
hiding the less frequently used applications

c. personalized menus that hide commands that have not been recently used until you
click the double-arrow at the bottom of the menu

d. a built-in Internet Information Server

Interesting... no clue what the answer to this is.

A. The Run dialog is a dialog box that offers a drop down list of previously used commands as you type.
B. The Start menu has an MFU (most frequently used) list right under the "pinned" items.
C. Start->Programs hides the applications that weren't used recently and provides double arrows to reveal them.
D. XP Pro (is this referring to Pro? the question itself only says XP) has a limited functionality Internet Informations SERVICES server.

They're all wrong. IIS is a feature of XP that comes with the retail CD, so I'd consider it built-in (that's poorly worded). The start menu run textbox uses the same shell autocomplete as the address bar in Internet Explorer does.

As I said in OT, it's C. That is a feature of Office, not Windows.

Although it is poorly worded, the classic start menu will hide unused applications, but that is covered in B.

D'oh, I think you're right.

It's a dumb question, either way 😉

The use of the word "commands" is suspicious.

WinXP doesn't have those menus, does it? Isn't that a feature of Office?
Well ok, it does have them, but ONLY in the Start Menu.

Hard to reread the choices a couple times. I have only seen the hiding of commands from the menus in Office. The start menu is choice b and is not the same thing so my answer is C as well.

But now I'm reading the comparison of WinXP's - WinXP Home does NOT have IIS. Only Professional does.
