I'm looking to upgrade two computers
The first is a Dell computer used mostly for scanning pictures and listing items on ebay (and the business computer) It only has two 256mb sticks of 3200 ram and in intensive usage it's pulling like 900mb of page file use and it's pulling 400mb constantly...(seems really high) How much ram do I need for this freaking thing hehe...

The other is a gaming computer and right now it has two sticks of 3200 512 ram...and I'm thinking about upgrading it two 2 gb's and just selling the 512 sticks

Any suggests on prices or kinds of ram would be greatly appreciated....

I would also like to know if I can get away with using 5300ram as long as I remove all of the 3200ram....because the 5300 seems to be what is onsale right now.

Why not just put the 2x512 pc3200 that you have in the gaming comp in your Dell and then buying another set of 2x1gb pc3200 for the gaming comp. Then you can probably sell the 2x256mb sticks.
The 5300 is probably DDR2 and will not work with your comps if they use pc3200 since that is DDR1.
