for maxtor sata, serial/calypso 301520104

the pcb board that connects to serial ata cable and power on the bottom of the harddrve

btw, the harddrive is ruined once you open the cover and it contacts air?

Actually it is dust and other particles in the air that can damage the drive if you expose the platters to unfiltered air - not the air itself. HDs should only be opened in a "clean room" lab. You usually don't need to open the platter chamber to service the electronics. Civilians can't buy those PCBs. The only way for a civilian to get one is from another drive of the same make/model/rev number.

Why did you open the sealed platter chamber anyway? Didn't you see the warning stickers. How do you think you could remove any dust - heck most people can't even see the size of particles that can damage heads and/or platters with their naked eye...
. If you have opened your drive, then closed it up and used it and it doesn't work, the damage has probably been done and can't be reversed. You've cost yourself a new drive...

Where's the :sun: ?
