I got to the bios and wanted to change some settings, and start testing OC options, but I can't figure almost any of the stuff in zebo's guide there...
either they have different terms, or I'm just missing somthing.
by the way I know about the ctrl+f1 thing, but still... where do I start? if anyone has this board or just knows this bios and can give some explicit help, I'd appriciate it alot!

ok, I was hoping I won't have to do this, but after reading some guides/posts, I still have difficulties understanding what exactly is going on... so I'm gonna write down a couple of the main mobo menu's which I think are the places where I need to do most of the changes... I'd appriciate if you can help me understand what I need to set, and why -> so I can learn... Thanks...

I also note in square brackets some of the values I currently have- which are most if not all defaults.

ADVANCED CHIPSET FEATURES (MENU):

HT frequency [4x]
HT width [16 16]

DDR Timing setting By [AUTO] - the following are all greyed out do to this...
CAS# latency [CL=2.5] - greyed out...
Row cycle time (tRC) [11 bus clocks] - greyed out...
Row refresg cyc time (tRFC) [14 bus clocks] - greyed out...

MB INTELIGENT TWEAKER (M.I.T) - menu

CPU frequency [200]
CPU spread spectrum [central spread] - wtf is this???!!
PCIE clock [100Mhz]
K8 CPU clock ratio [default]
Robust graphics booster [AUTO]
CPU voltage central [normal]
Normal CPU Vcore [1.400v] - greyed out
Core power voltage control [normal]
HT-Link voltage control [normal]

Another detail I forgot to mention, I have a 500w psu.

So, what do I need to change, to get started? (possibly with the divide & conquor method from zebo's guide, or just straight forward...)

From Main Bios Menu

Go to M.I.T (MB Intelligent Tweeker)
Up CPU Frequency a little at a time (mine is at 225 and No problems)

Never mind... I just noticed the CTRL+F1 to reveal the CAS timing etc and other advanced settings.

------------------
Is this possible to change the memory timing manually on a Gigabyte k8nf-9?

I have the latest bios (F-2), and I cant find anywhere to change this stuff in the Bios.

Thanks
