hi everyone, I recently got a P4 3.0c and I don't know much about overclocking Pentiums and all these memory timings and 5:4 or 1:1 ratio things. Could anyone explain this to me?

I have a P4 3.0c cooled with a Thermalright SP-94 with a Panaflo fan, an Asus P4C800-E Deluxe motherboard and (2) 512 Kingston HyperX PC3500 DDR chips in Dual channeling mode.

Currently my CPU is at 3.3 GHz - FSB of 220
CPU voltage at 1.60v
AGP/PCI at 66.66/33.33
DRAM Frequency at 400MHz
DDR reference voltage at Auto
AGP VDDQ Voltage at 1.60v
Performance mode Turbo

Configure DRAM Timing by SPD Auto
Performance Acceleration mode Enabled
DRAM Idle Timer Auto
DRAM Refresh rate Auto

Is there any fine tuning I can possibly do to make my CPU OC higher? Would really appreciate the help.

Here is some screenshots from CPU ID (I have since lowered my CPU voltage to 1.60 from 1.65)

How do you get 400ddr out of a 220fsb??? What ratio works like that??? What ratio are you running???

Your ram according to the screen snap is running 352mhz ddr and with cas 2.5,4,4,8 timings....

The 5:4 ratio which you are using takes the 220fsb divdes by a factor of 5 for 44mhz then times it by 4 for 176mhz...Double data rate or ddr then double pumps it to 352mhz ddr....You ram is greatly underclocked...

However some things see you may wish to d is to trn the performance mode off of turbo....Maybe disable some of the performance acceleration stuff...Also bump the ddr voltage to 2.8v...I know you are underclocked but the fact when you start to oc boards, run in 2 chip configuration it often needs more voltage even for spec speeds and timings...

Ultimately if you already need 1.6v on an asus mobo which ismore like 1.65v actual then you could be at the limit of the chip....No guarantees in ocing....But here I am really guessing cause I don't see anything about the rest of the system specs (PSU), voltages and temps being reported (though I know the asus temps are greatly exaggerated low, unrealistic), and methodolgy to your ocing of this system...

ok thanks for the info, the 400 is the setting in the bios of DDR Freq. 400.. I dunno.. as for my PSU I have a Antec Trueblue 430 Watt. Also is it safe to run the DDR voltage at 2.8v?

The ram you have is!!!! YOu could likely go max 2.85v on that board and be very safe....

Have you tried the cpu back at default yet, or 1.5875? You shouldn't need that voltage yet, at least not at that fsb.....Also, with the timings you are running, you should be able to get a bit higher in fsb, turn all mem accel's to auto for the first try, then experiment after stable.
