Need help O/cing P4 2.4B to 3 Ghz... on ASUS P4PE

im building a monster For my uncle..... its A Pentium 4 2.4B w/533 mhz FSB, and 1 Gig of Kingston Ram (ddr 333). What are safe voltages for both the ram and the Processor? i can hit 3 ghz BUT when i run 3d mark on WIN XP Pro its automatically closes. The system and CPU temps are very low..... THANK you....

You could damage your P4 if you go above 1.7V. I'm not sure what would be the best voltages for your RAM. Make sure you lock the AGP/PCI frequencies too. Before you declare you overclock stable, you might want to run Prime95 for awhile.

I agree. 1.7v is about the max I would go, maybe to 1.75. No higher. Youll be lucky to hit 3.0 with a 2.4 100% stable.

Good luck.

Lou
