Hi,
Hope someone can give me an idea whats going on. I have a celeron 366 that i've had running stable at 550 on a MSI 6163 m/b at 2.0 volts. Changed the m/b to an Abit BM6 and it runs perfect at 366, bump it to 550 and it freezes everytime just after booting into windows. I've double checked all the setting and everything appears to be ok, the memory is Micron -8e so 100mhz fsb shouldn't affect that, and I'm using a Diamond Viper 550 agp vid card. Every thing is the same except the m/b...and that i don't have to use a slocket on the BM6. It should work....what am i doing wrong?
Thanks in advance for any help
Ben

Check the AGP setting in the system bios. Make sure it's set to 2/3 & not 1/1

AGP 2/3, Spread spectrum - disable, and disable speed check or similar. AND GET LATEST BIOS. Beats the hell out of me why you would downgrade from a 6163 with the slotket - the MSI 6163 is far superior to the BM6.
