need help O/C a p3 500

when ever i go into cmos and bump it up it wont start up, sometimes i gotta take out the cmos battery to get it going again ( usualy i should say), i got a be6 II MB on my p3 450 it was cake ... any ideas ?

It shouldn't be necessary to remove the cmos battery on the be62, just short the jumpers

You should be able to use the manual setting the CPU jumper switches on the abit BE6v2, which you instruction manual should tell you what switches to activate.
