BTw.. I have a neo 2 plat. with a zalman 7000 CU so it's tight. I don't think a card with a large sink on the back side will be compatitible with current setup. :/

No, it's a business deal where I am able to use the business credit card. Special deal I have going on. I have to order the stuff for them tonight as well as order my "payment." Though it looks as though I might be waiting until tomorrow. Which I know, doesn't matter because the order will not be processed until monday. :)

Get whatever brand. And pick up the corresponding Arctic Cooling NV Silencer, while you're at it.

i'd get the BFG 6800GT oc. It has a lifetime warrenty, decent HS/F, and is pre oc'ed. It is pretty expensive on newegg though. It is about $450 on newegg (i guess if u dont mind it's ok), but u can get it other places for about $400. Up to u!

I agree with drpootums. You can actually order the card from Bestbuy on line for $399, although it's probably out of stock, so it might be a while before you get it. Still, it rocks, and it's practically an ultra (about 25MHz shy). Another good choice would be the Gainward Ultra/2400 Golden Sample, which is a similar card, overclocked, I think it's actually running at ultra speeds.

Oh, yeah, and if you can find an X800XT (non-platinum edition) it's supposed to MSRP for $450, but I've not seen it very many places. It should perform roughly on par with the overclocked 6800GTs I mentioned above.

The benefits of the Silencer can be read from its name... it's quieter than the stock cooler. It also has better cooling performance. For about $25 I think it's a wise purchase.

I am using XFX 6800GT for over 2 month now, and got no problem at all with it.Note that I DONT OVERCLOCK so i cannot tell you its limit. My card might be a bad overclocker i have no clue. But the default performance of the card is just very good.Come with doom 3 too :)
