Need Help | New Writer light blink(on and on) but would not read CD

Problem: Front light would blink(on and on...) when CD is inserted but would not recognize CD content or 'auto-play'.

Info: I just got this new VeloCD writer and I made a few copies of CDs flawlessly, but then when I tried to play a game, the light would blink continuously but would not initiate the disc data. I then tried other CDs but the same 'light blinking forever' would happen.

Any idea/suggestions would be appreciated,

Are you trying to read it in your writer or reader? Right now I'm thinking 3 things:
either cheap media, cheap reader, or copy protection
 
I am trying to read these CDs in my writer. These CDs include audio CDs I made and commercial CDs from market, but none of them would work.

I'l go for the 'cheap reader', i'l off to return it and get a new one to see what happens..
