Hello everyone. I am fairly new to overclocking, and would like to get started. I though I had a decent -Starter- system to overclock, but I guess I was wrong! I have an Intel Core 2 Duo E4300. It is 1.8 Ghz at 800 Mhz FSB stock. For a mother board I have an ASUS P5NSLI model. For RAM I have a PNY kit. Optima PC2-5300 1GB x 2. The RAM cam with heat spreaders on it. For video I have a Radeon ATI X1650 pro with 512 MB of memory. I know it isn't the most expensive video card on the market, but I got a good deal on it. Anyways, I basically can't get past overclocking more than about 20% which puts my cpu at about 2.12 Ghz. I go any higher and when I power the PC on nothing will post too the screen, and I have to reset my BIOS. From everything I've read about this cpu, I see people posting much higher clock frequencies on stock cooling. Any advice on helping me to achieve a better clock time would be HIGHLY appreciated!!! THanks alot!
