NEED HELP! need help to remove virus

A friend was nice enough to load a backdoor type program on my computer. Anyone who wants to can hack in. I know what file it is.... pmss.exe but i can't delete it. I'm in win2k. This file is running in the background and i can't control+Alt+delete it out either. Please help!

Does anyone know how to change what loads during boot up? I think if i can get it to not load then then i can delete it.

I know in win98 it's msconfig to edit what starts on boot
what is it for win2k?
