Need HELP! Monitor stops receiving signal

Hey guys

I am having a problem that has reoccured after I thought it was taken care of. What happens is I will be using my computer, and the monitor will stop getting input. Also, the sound will cut out. About a month ago, I had this same problem and found a solution (for a month) which was to change the thermal grease on the processor. I tried it again this time with slightly longer times (of the computer staying alive) but it still failed. I believe this is a problem either with cooling or the CPU/motherboard somehow.. Using the bios and Motherboard Manager 5, I am getting CPU temperatures at around 40 degrees celcius. Anybody have any suggestions on what this is? Maybe you guys have seen this before? Last time I checked the power that the PS was giving off and we found it to be correct, so I dont think it is the power supply.

Thanks alot!
Zack

Hey, have you tested any of the leads on the PS? Just hook up a multi-meter and watch for any drastic falloffs in power, or you could just check MBM and look for any falloff in the VCore sensor.

Hope this helps
Cheers!

I have not tested the leads on the PS recently. However when this happened a month ago, I did, and decided that the power supply was not at fault. Also - I can't check MBM for falloffs in the VCore Sensor because before I would see that, the monitor would stop receiving a signal. Any other ideas?

Zack
