Hello,
i need help adjusting my Thunderbird
My motherboard does not have a Multiplier adjustment on it so i have to ajust the multiplier on the Chip it self
so i was wondering is it possible to cut the Bridges on the chip with a Razor ?

i was looking at this picture http://www.tomshardware.com/cpu/00q3/000711/images/fid.gif

so if i want to get it to 950mhz i have to Cut and connect all the Brides to match the 950mhz setting in that picture ?

I really don't think it is worth the trouble if you don'thave a board that supports multiplier adjustment, especially since you have a fast TBird.

Not only will it be a really big pain to find the sweet spot, but you also run a large risk of causing irrepairable damage to your CPU.

Also, 800MHz should be plenty for nearly anyone.

I'd recommend either buying a new board with multiplier adjustment or just leaving it alone. Remember, its not just the multiplier you will be trying to adjust, but also the voltage.

i would just sell that motherboard you have and get an abit kt7 or asus a7v if you are going to overclock. If you don't maybe try upping the FSB.
