NEED HELP! misplaced drivers license, need ID quick

i need an ID card since i dont know where i put my license but the thing is i need it buy 1/10/04 and the DMV takes 60 days to send the replacement. what can i do?

i need it by the end of the week, it takes the dmv up to 60 days

edit: i need any form of ID with birthdate, doesnt need to be license or CA id in particular but i dont know of anything else

passport? birth certificate? school id possibly?


still if you physically go to the dmv they should give it to you within the aforementioned 12 hours that you will be there.

if the dmv still mails you a replacement even if you are physically there and it takes 60 days then the dmv has stooped to a new low (is that even possible???)

You can get a passport within 2 days if you pay them enough money...although you can't just go to a post office, you need to go to the passport office or something, and I think this means you better be close to a major city =p

Go look online for more info.

school id doesnt have DOB
i guess i can ask my mom for passport/birth cert but i dont want her to know what i need it for.

acccording to the CA dmv website:

To apply for a duplicate license or ID card, you will need to:

* Make an appointment to visit a DMV office
* Complete application form DL 44 (An original DL 44 form must be submitted. Copies will not be accepted.) For a dupllicate driver license, minors must have parents' or guardians' signatures on the DL 44
* Pay the application fee ($19 license or $20 ID card or no fee senior citizen ID card)
* Give a thumb print
* Have your picture taken

You will be issued an interim license valid for 60 days and/or a receipt for your ID card until you receive your new photo license and/or photo ID card in the mail.


do u think social security card + school id will suffice?

i have an old paper replacment and it says not a verified ID although many places have accpeted it before, i still consider it to be YMMV

to know if an ss card and school id will work we have to know what its for!! even if your mom cant?!?!
 
its for a bar in TJ, i would think it will work since they are less strict in mexico but i dont want to go down there just to find out it wont work 😛
 
your going to a bar in TJ and think u need a valid ID to get in even...hmmm...you must be a nerd?
