need help migrating outlook express to a new machine

[Holycrap]

I am simply trying to duplicate my Outlook Express 5 settings, folders and messages from my desktop to my notebook via an external USB drive. I can't figure out how to do that. OE lets me "export" but it only saves .dbx files which open in Outlook and not OE and it doesn't save all my email addresses, message rules, etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
