Need help manually unlocking the multiplier on my mobile barton 2500+

I was under the impresson that mobile barton's were supposed to be unlocked, but mine isn't. I've heard that it's as simple as a penciled bridge but I was wondering if anyone else had experience or knowledge in the matter. Thanks.

uh.... are you sure it is a mobile? Does your board support mulitplier adjustment? What are all the codes on the AMD label?

hmm, it could be that my board doesnt support multi changes (the multiplier setting isn't in the bios), but CPU-Z definitely shows it as an XP-M proc. Well that's worthless...vcore max is +10% too...=/ gonna have to go get a new one I guess.

CPUMSR will allow you to change the multiplier and CPU voltage from within Windows, but you'll need to see if it works correctly on your motherboard.
