Need help looking for a ssd ?

Thought I would get a ssd but have no ideal what I'm actually needing .My system specs are below. Looking for a 500GB .

I7-4790k
MB-gigabyte GA-Z97X-UD3H-BK
8gb memmory (will be upgrading to 16gb)
MSI 970
windows 10
Current HD, WD raptor 500 GB

Budget? Offhand, I would say a SATA6G 2.5" Samsung 850 EVO, maybe the 500GB or 1TB model, would probably suit you. Or maybe the Crucial MX300 if you preferred.

I agree with VirtualLarry. Anything more fancy than that would be overkill, essentially throwing money out the window. Go for the highest capacity you can affort of a decent-to-good drive, like the 850 EVO or MX300.
