Need help learning how to repair small/moped engines

I will be attending UW-Madison next fall, and I don't think that I will have time to work steadily at a part time job. However, I would like to learn how to repair mopeds so that I can make a little cash on the side. I don't think there will be a problem with supply as there are literally thousands of mopeds on campus! I have a lot of experience wrenching on cars, but nothing this small, can anyone reccomend a book I can read? Know a good supplier of parts for a person on a such a small scale? Advice?

A moped is merely a chainsaw with wheels. They are one of the simplest things in the world to work on. Just find any reference material on simple 2-cycle engines and you will learn more than you need to fix a moped. The trickiest part of a 2-cycle engine is learning how to set the low and high speed idle mixtures to make one run correctly, but is is not that difficult and any book on these types of engines will cover it.
