NEED HELP keep getting error when trying to play Batman

so i downloaded both Batman arkham asy and city but every time i try to open the games i get an error that says

"Could not load file or assembly
'Microsoft.directx.direct3d. version=1.0.2902.0,
Culture=neutral, PublicKey Token=31bf3856ad364e35' "

what am i doing wrong?
