Need help interfacing my PS2 and/or DirectTV with my Dell 2405FPW

Hi all, I just received my Dell 2405FPW and I love it. I am a sort of noob with hardware stuff, but I was wondering if anyone could help me get my PS2 working on my LCD, and possibly my DirectTV as well (via a sony receiver).

Also I was wondering if there is a way to avoid pixel stretching on my PS2 games (since its WS) and if its possible to get the PS2 sound to work w/composite cables (I don't have a TV tuner card btw, will this be necessary?)

Thanks a bunch in advance!

To get your PS2 and DirectTV working you just need to plug them into the appropiate plugs. (S-Video, Component, etc.)

You don't need a TV tuner card. The screen will function just like a TV. You will need a seperate audio source though. (plug into your home theater)

To prevent the stretching it's under one of the menues. I can't remember which one and I'm at work but it's fairly easy to find. (to switch inputs and select DirectTV or PS2 you'd press the button to the farthes left until you get to the correct input)

ah okay cool thanks! seems easy enough.. but as far as audio, I dont really have a home theater setup (at all). I have an audigy 2 ZS sound card, and I'm getting some logitech z230s (it's the 2.1 setup if I got the model wrong); I dont have a receiver or anything like that.. what can I do for the audio?

And if I can't use my sound card, will using a TV tuner card help?

go to radio shack (or local equivalent) and get a converter plug with 1/8" stereo male jack on one end, and RCA Phono female plugs (or whatever type of audio plug you have from your PS2/tv) and plug the sound into the "line-in" jack of your soundcard.

You basically want to do the same thing as This Guy
