Need help installing windows....

I recently bought a Zotac H55ITx motherboard and I'm using a intel i3- 540 with it. I have 2gb of mushkin DDR3 1333 ram installed, and I'm using a WD 320gb Scorpio Blue hard drive. I also have a 9600gt, but have tried with and without it.

My problem is that when I put the windows 7 disk in the computer and boot, I get all the way to the part where it starts to copy files, right after you do the Hard drive partitioning, and then it switches to the unpacking files, and then sits and eventually freezes. IF IM USING THE INTEGRATED GRAPHICS when it freezes, it distorts the picture and has vertical and horizontal lines displayed through it.

I have tried memtest86+ and have let it do 18 passes overnight and it came up with no errors.

I have also tried a bootable program called the troubleshooter, and it tested all my equipment and it came up all good, then I stress tested it and it all passed.

Is this some sort of driver issue, or a bios setting?

Any help would be nice.

Thanks

Did you have Windows 7 running previously with all of the hardware? I would get it down to the minimum and try to install (mobo, processor, fan, memory, hard drive).

Then add in my cards after the install (if it works) to see if you have incompatible hardware.

Well I got it to work fine, and its stable, but I had to underclock my cpu.

Its the i3 - 540, I dont think its a power problem, some sort of bug.
