Need help installing red alert

hey guys, I got an itch for playing old games tonight and I popped in my RA cd, went to install and got a pop up saying: "C:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt. The system file type is not suitible for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose close to terminate the application."

I set all the exe's to win95 comp mode and it still doesn't work. Any ideas, advice??

EDIT: GOT IT RUNNING!!!!!!! I was missing the autoexec file and config.nt files
 
had same thing happen to a PC at school, i coppied the autoexec.nt file from another PC of the same OS to it and fixed it, this was done to an older version of Word Perfect, btw.
