I just installed openoffice but now I canr get it to work.
I installed it to /usr/local/openoffice
If I try to run the soffice executable
/usr/local/openoffice/soffice
I get the error message
I18N: X Window System doesn't support locale "en_US.iso885915"
Aborted
any ideas? its installed I just cant get it to run

You downloaded the en iso, right? Sounds like it's having a localization problem, but with standard US English. If you did download the right one, I'd consider it a reason that 7.3 is still in beta.

You may want to force install the X-Windows rpms from the 7.2 discs, or download and roll your own if you must have the bleeding edge. The last one will require you to have the proper localization I believe (so that the proper language support is built in) I think so if you're already speaking in tongues that may not help.

Perhaps you would want to submit a bug report to RH?
