how do i install from DOS...i can browse (cd) through directories on the red hat cd...but dont what i need to do to initialize the installation...
the current file system is fat32...

the OS is mandrake 8...thanks!

What you need to do is to create a bootdisk on a floppy.

Go into the \dosutils directory
Look for the "rawrite.exe" and run it (you might also try "rawwrite.exe")
It now prompts you for the path of the image - type "(drive):\images\cdrom.img"
Give it the name of the floppy drive "a:\"
Type enter
When it has finished, boot with the floppy and do the install

<< heres the problem..i cant have both the floppy and cdrom drive in at the same time... >>

Ouch. Does it have a network connection? If so you can use a boot floppy to get the info from ftp.
