Need help installing FOP32-1

I just got an FOP32-1. Do I need to take the board out of the case before installing the fop? I hear the clip needs a lot of pressure and I do not want to break the board or cpu.

Thanks!

You should only take the mobo out of the case if you cannot get at the clips easily with the board in the case, or to be absolutely sure there is no space between the HS and the chip. Supposedly the FOP32-1 has clips that are not that tight. Just don't pressure the chip too much when clipping on the HSF.

FOP32-1 needs ALOT of force and I WILL possiblily break your core. This is why I take the clip out of the fan and band it down a little before installing.
