need help installing 815e graphics drivers

I can't seem to get them to install for some reason. whenever i try to install the drivers, i get some sort of "software error" message from the installation process and quits. I also find that the graphics controller is "disabled" in the system properties, even tho i am using it and keep re-enabling it each time. Whenever I reset, it disables it self again. I've tried downloading all the new drivers and manually installing it myself too but it still doesn't work.

I'm getting reall frustrated with this :| so I'd wish someone here could help me. thanks for any input!

You're not saying which board you're using. I guess I would first make sure my BIOS settings and/or, jumper or dipswitch settings were correct.

If you're installing off of CD, I suppose the CD could be hosed. Try the latest drivers at the Intel site.

oh yea..sorry, i'm using an Asus Cusl2. I figured it'd be the same for all 815E boards...sorry for that confusion, again. i downloaded the newest drivers too, but it gives me a "software error" after copying all the files. kinda werid. I found out that the BIOS was left on agp, not onboard, so i switched that back over but i'm still getting the same errors.

Did you first install the "standard PCI" windows drivers and reboot?
