Hey Guys/Gals
Ok, I am wanting a nice "Exercise Bike" but I am pretty clueless about them.

I just came back from "Sportmart" and checked out their stock and really had no idea that the really nice ones were so expensive.

So do any of you have some advice for me on picking one out? btw, I definetly want one that has a lower back seat 😉

Something like this style:

BIKE

Thanks for your input!

Regards,
CA

Don't disregard this advice! That's where my perfectly fine one came from. Exercise bikes are in that class of posessions that people buy and then NEVER use and finally put out in the trash.

Did you really type dollar sign, number three, number zero, number zero, decimail, lower case o, lower case o?

IDI0T!

As with all exercise equipment, whatever you do - buy it used.

I just sold one more or less like that for $40 on craigslist.

The ridiculous thing was I had about 10 people inquire about it, and 8 of them were immediately not interested when it didnt' have a heart rate monitor.

The person who bought it was overjoyed at only paying $40. I was overjoyed at getting it out of my house. 🙂

Sorry, good try, but no.

Lifefitness Lifecycle - a used one for $400-600, new one for $600-2,000.

An old one will be built like a tank but will be noisy (too noisy to use early or late in an apartment), the new cheaper ones are more flimsy but wabbit hunting quiet.
