Need help in finding good music

I'm trying to learn the guitar by myself, and I started with Nirvana. I can do like ~70% of the songs, so I think it's time to move on. I tried some Jimi Hendrix (silly me 😛), but it was too hard. So does anyone know some good bands that rely on the guitar and use some techniques other than use a tremolo or vibrato? 😛

James Taylor. Being able to play some of that stuff when I was in high school was a great aphrodisiac.

Actually a lot of the folk stuff from the 60's like early Dylan, Peter, Paul, and Mary etc is pretty easy to pick up on a guitar.

Try some old David Bowie. Space Oddity is a good one that lots of people know the words to, and isn't too challenging, but enough to build your chops.
