Need Help in Finding a new Video Card.

I want to buy a new video card it needs to be AGP 4x or standard PCI compatible but I don't really know a good card to get. I'm looking for somthing that can run more current games like Farcry, Half-Life 2 and Doom 3. I'm not looking to run these games on really high resolutions or high graphic settings but maybe 800*600 resolution and medium setting. I don't want to spend much more than $100 dollars.

Thanks for your help,

Grant

For around $100, your best bet would be a 128MB 9600pro. I did a pricewatch.com search for you and found this. There are cheaper ones, but they are from sites that aren't very reliable (allstarshop has an excellent resellerratings.com score.)
When I build my new computer, I tried running Far Cry and HL2 with my old Geforce4 ti 4400, which is a worse card than the 9600pro. I actually could turn up most of the eye candy on 1024x768, but that's with my AMD64 3200+. You should be able to get decent image quality with playable framerate with the 9600pro, but don't expect much.
