Hey guys, my computer is acting up and I think it's time for a new pc. I use my computer for some games (unreal tournament, quake, etc), video editing, and development. I'm having trouble deciding on which CPU to start with. It will determine what motherboard and memory I'll get. Here are my two options. There is only a $5 difference in price (newegg).

I like the 2mb L2 cache on the intel, but the AMD has more L1 cache. If I were to go with the Intel, I would go with the ASUS P5WD2 Socket T (LGA 775) Intel 955X ATX Intel Motherboard, which supports DDR2 800. Otherwise I would go with the ASUS A8N5X Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 ATX AMD Motherboard, which only supports DDR 400, but it's cheaper.
Because the RAM and motherboard is more expendive, the Intel setup would cost me about $160 more, but I'm not sure it it's worth it.
Which CPU would you go with and why?
Thanks!
